I did make a Syranaish sim in The Sims 3. She actually is a descendant of my sim, which I suppose in a weird way is just about right… I mean, Syrana's persona is of my creation. The above screenies are from Syrana's teenage years. She was quite rebellious and liked to dress punk.
But seeing has how there aren't any warlocks in The Sims 3, I had to do the next best thing… pick traits that would be considered warlocky! (And to those of you that Google'd for “sims 3 warlock” and arrived here at S&S, I'm sorry to disappoint you: There is no such thing! /sadface)
So what do these mean? And how are they fitting to Syrana the Blood Elf Warlock and Syrana the Human Sim?
Let's take a look at the definition of the traits and then it might be clearer how they are befitting of a warlock! (Although, I imagine “evil” seems obvious, no?)
Evil:
“Evil Sims love the dark, take great delight in the misfortune of others and prefer to lead a life of as far away from goodness as possible.” (Yar, that thar sounds warlocky!)
- Your Sim will get a “Fiendishly Delighted” moodlet when misfortune strikes nearby Sims!
- Your Sim doesn't mind a lack of light, A dark lair is welcome!
- Your Sim will excel in the criminal Career track.
- Your Sim will fare well in most fights.
- Your Sim will laugh when another Sim dies!
- Other Sims will be cautious around evil Sims once the trait is discovered, ‘Good' or Sims on the Law career track especially so.
- Your Sim can donate to undermine charities once a day by clicking on the mailbox.
- Your Sim can do many things with an evil twist, such as “Wash Hands with Evil Soap”, or “Read Something Maniacal.”
- Your Sim can acquire a Red Glow on reaching the top of the Criminal track. The glow terrifies Cowardly sims, disgusts Good Sims, and delights other Evil Sims.
Syrana has interesting interactions due to the evil trait such as: wicked bubble bath, evil shower, evil slumber, steal candy, mastermind plot, and joke about criminals.
Absent-Minded:
“Absent-Minded Sims get lost in their thoughts and occasionally forget what they are doing, or where they are going.” (Maybe not warlocky, but more Syrana-y.)
- Your Sim may find themselves standing in a room wondering how they got there.
- Expect your Sim to be a bit forgetful from time to time…
- Sims may stop what they are doing mid-action.
- Absent-minded Sims might turn off the television when they're done with it, even if other Sims are still watching.
Kleptomaniac:
“Kleptomaniacs ‘accidentally' end up with things owned by others. They often ‘permanently borrow' items from work, school or even their neighbor's homes!” (Soul shards anyone? /cackle)
- Throughout life, your Sim will be prone to swipe others' things. It's genetic!
- Your Sim can return stolen objects to their rightful owners via the mailbox, resulting in a postivive ‘Returned Stolen Object' moodlet.
Genius:
“Geniuses are logical thinker, masters of chess and excellent hackers. They savor pursuits of the mind.” (Need wit to control demons, I always say.)
- Your Sim will learn the Logic skill much faster than other Sims.
- Your Sim enjoys playing chess and will improve at it quickly.
- Your Sim can solve crazy mathematical problems on the computer for cash.
- Genius Sims will do better at Law Enforcement, Science and Medical careers.
- Genius Sims will autonomously ‘Contemplate' their surroundings.
Sims Have Careers, Not Class
What, oh, what career sounds good for a warlock transplant? Something full of… evil. Yes, yes. Something that takes time and work to… ya know, I'd just like to take over the world. Start me off as a peon, er decoy, and it won't be long. You'll see…
