Sorry that this is going up a bit late today.  I have off and forgot to schedule it last night… and just plain ignored my alarm clock this morning.  (Why'd I even set it on a day off?!)

I read this amusing post by Jonathan Kimak over on Cracked.com called 6 New Personality Disorders Caused by the Internet.  I think I've seen examples of all 6 (we all know those kinda people), but the way he writes this list out is just hilarious.  Here is one of my favorite parts and hopefully that will whet your appetite to go and peruse the rest!

Regarding #3: Online Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder (aka The Grammar Nazi):

At the heart of the real-life OCPD sufferer seems to be an irrational fear that the rest of the world is sloppier, dirtier and more disorganized than it should be, that it's rapidly getting worse, and that the world will fall to pieces unless someone straightens it up.

On the Internet, five minutes spent reading YouTube comments can convince even an average, level-headed person that the Internet is about to suffer the same fate. The old-fashioned holdouts who insist on typing in actual sentences see what seems to be an inexorable move toward a language based entirely on texting abbreviations. It's not hard to feel the desire to take up arms to defend language at all costs. Srsly.

Welcome

We are a family of gamers. Mom (Darcy/Syrana) and Dad (Brian/Sideshow) have been gaming for as long as they can remember back when you only had a joystick to use and saved your games to cassette tapes.

They've been gaming together since they met in 2002. Sometime after 2006, they both started playing World of Warcraft and did that for many years. They started this blog, originally called Sideshow & Syrana which has now transitioned to the new Stay-At-Home Gamers site, while keeping all of the original content.

Starting in 2010, two more gamers came along (now known as Princess Boo and Mr. X) and they are now old enough where they both enjoy playing games and watching others play games. They are both excited to have others to watch them play their favorite games. Come along with us and let's enjoy these games together!
